          “Life is a series of beginnings and endings.  The path veers off in different directions according to My Father’s will.  It is your task to stay on course in complete willingness and trust.  You are not guiding the ship; God is.  You must acquiesce to the various disturbances, sacrifices and circumstances of daily living, maintaining a serene equilibrium which is nothing other than complete trust and abandonment.

          How carefree your life could be if you put all your trust in the Guide of your life!  You could rejoice in every mundane occurrence, knowing that all is working together for good in your regard.

          At this late stage of the game, the ending days of your life, can you spend them in serenity and trust?  Can you joy in the wonders of your God?  Can you appreciate all He has done for you throughout your life?  Can you sing an appreciative love song as you go about your days?

          Planning and worrying are wasting the precious hours that could be spent in joy-filled living.  In heaven no one is worried.  There is complete trust; therefore, the singing is incessant.  A cheerful, contented heart sings like a bird daily.

          Your heavenly Father loves you and has given you all good things to enjoy.  Show your appreciation by singing melodies in your heart unto the Lord.”

          “Look at My beautiful earth – gifts from My kind hand.  All on earth is gift from God.  Does man realize what a gracious and beneficent and loving Father he has watching over him?  How I long to pour out countless blessings on mankind, yet they reject all My offerings!  They choose to live life on their own terms without My interference.

          What they do not understand is that My offer to them is abundant life, victorious daily living, joy beyond expression, confidence amid life’s turmoil and an eternity of bliss – yet they reject all I have to offer.  They turn away from Me in disgust.  They are prodigals running away from the source of all they have ever been given.  I understand their frailty and ignorance.  I wait for them just like the father and the prodigal son.  I let them realize that life is futile without a connection to My divine life.  I subtly introduce gifts and graces to prod them to remember Me.  I am so patient and compassionate toward them.  They are unruly children, discovering the world for themselves.  They seek to be free of a restraining parent.

          Ultimately, life will disappoint them terribly.  Tragedies, losses, sorrows, bad decisions – these hidden graces will make them stop to reconsider their direction in life.  And there I will be waiting at the crossroad, hoping that they will choose My road of abundant life and love.  “I will forgive them and love them freely,” for My mercy is exhaustive and compelling.  I will welcome My errant children into My kingdom, wiping away their tears and soothing their regrets.

          The world thinks I am a mean God.  How they misunderstand My heart of love.”

          “The beauty of this moment of your life is My gift to you.  To an attentive soul, I give all of Myself.  Heaven is a land of beauty and joy.  The sparkle of eternal life with God colors everything.  What is not My joy to bring heaven to earth to a soul open to My love?  I love to shower My attentive and chosen souls with beautiful gifts on earth.  I am a loving Father wanting the best for My children.

          Look up into the heavens.  See the beauty of the sky, so ethereal and inviting.  It is the covering over earth which separates the human from the divine.

          Life is so much more than human beings can see.  They are lost in their daydream lives, never living the present moment in all its glory.  Breathing My pure air, admiring the beauty of nature, reveling in My gifts to you – this is the purity that can be achieved on earth.

          Remember I told you that earth is the playground for My children?  I watch to see how they play on My earth.  Are they kind to their playmates or do they hoard the equipment and refuse to share with others?  Are they bullies or do they help the weak?  Do they proudly shut themselves off from others or do they come to the aid of the weak and defenseless?  Do they love as I love?  Do they appreciate My gifts?  Do they appreciate Me?

          I am the truly unselfish One.  I share all I have with my souls on earth.  I am not a cruel miser.  I desire to inundate My children with gifts.

          All I ask for is a thankful heart.”

          “Men would like to think that the road to sanctity becomes easier as the journey progresses.  The truth is, the higher the state of holiness I desire you to attain, the more obscure is the path.  The flowery paths may become arid wastelands as you find yourself traveling alone against the current thought of the world.  You become, as it were, a fool for My cause, as you shun what the world values as important.  Those closest to you do not understand or empathize with your choices.  You feel alone, confused, and saddened.  There are times of elation on the mountain top with Me, but then I command you to go down into the valley again, into the darkness, to search for My wandering sheep.  You feel you are regressing or going backwards as your joy seems to have disappeared.  These are days of mourning in reparation for grievous sins against God Most Holy.  Suffering souls expiate for the frivolous sinful lifestyles God must constantly endure.

          Confidence and trust is the key to your peace.  As Job stated, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him,” you must content yourselves with these words.  “Jesus, I trust in You” must become your continual mantra from break of day to nightfall.  I have promised not to leave you as orphans.  I am with you, though you do not feel My presence as before.  These are days of testing and trial, to perfect your faith.  Even Jesus, God’s Son, endured His Father’s absence on the Cross.  The Holy One who never tasted sin endured His trials and testings and persevered unto the end.  You must also stay faithful to your God, in good times as well as bad.

          “Lo, I am with you always until the end of the world.”  Trust these, My words, to you.  I meant them.  You are never outside My gaze.  Live your life responding to My gaze of love by living with a perpetual smile on your lips when you turn toward Me, no matter what the circumstances.

          I will help you – My promise to you.”

          “Purity of heart makes the soul so lovely in My eyes.  There is so much wickedness and degradation on earth, so much compromise with evil, even among My elect souls.  It pains My heart to see such alliances with evil.  Unknowingly, souls walk the earth with Satan, doing his works.  His works are works of destruction and chaos, wars and havoc.  He seeks to destroy the human race, wiping out every remnant of My goodness.  His evil heart has no capacity for love, forgiveness or mercy.  He preys on the weak to make them like himself.  He lifts up a soul in the eyes of the world, only to then push him off a cliff, abandoning that soul to the wolves.  He deceives by using flattery, glamour, beauty, and pride.  His allures catch the innocent unawares.  They are dragged down by his enticements until they become only a remnant of what they were created to be.

          All these homeless people on the street, many addicted to drugs and alcohol, were a beautiful thought in My mind.  I had a divine plan for them to fulfill, a unique holy mission on earth.  That is why they were created.  Unfortunately, they turned away from Me and became ensnared with the traps of Satan which appeared fun and enjoyable, satisfying the earthly appetites.  Yet over time, these games brought them to ruin and shipwreck.  They sit by the waysides begging for money to buy alcohol to anesthetize their pain.  The world has given up on them.  They appear to be hopeless cases.  Many of these souls have praying mothers waiting for their return to life.

          These are the traps of the world.  People are falling into these pits in unheard of numbers.  They are not being instructed or warned against the predator of souls.  There is no light to guide them, no human example of righteousness set before them to cause them to stop to examine their goings.

          Turn back, O souls!  Satan will destroy you.  He does not care for your souls as I do.  I have done everything to save you from eternal death.  Return to Me and live, I implore you.”

          “When you are peaceful and resting in me, My voice becomes very clear and luminous in your spirit.  I reside in your inner being, waiting for you to meet Me there.  Don’t be in a hurry when you seek My presence.  I am the eternally calm presence within you, desiring to crown you with My peace.

          The world is in turmoil.  Constant rushing, hurrying at a maddening pace.  Everything is rushed – words, conversations, eating, driving, thoughts.  There is no peace, only a constant striving for the next activity to obliterate the present moment.  The rush to accumulate possessions, the rush to arrive at a destination – all contribute to disturbance in the soul.  You must prioritize your life with My wisdom.  Some things need to disappear from your life in order for you to have more time to slow down.

          The quiet moments of restful peacefulness are the foundation moments of your spirituality.  Without these gaps in your mad rush to get things done, your life with Me becomes sterile, empty and purely external.  You are hovering on the fringes of My perfect will for you.

          Every person is allotted a certain number of hours in the day.  How they use them is the freedom of the will, the gift of choice.  Wise souls sit down and count the cost.  They do not drive the engine in full gear without considering the end destination.  Get rid of the things that destroy your peace – television, idle conversations, useless reading, time wasters, distractions … then you will certainly have the time to sit down with Me to clean your soul, to discover My purposes for your life, to renew our friendship.

          Do not tell Me that you do not have time for Me.  You do have time.  You just waste it on things of absolutely no eternal significance.  These fleeting sands of time are gifts to help you attain eternal treasures.  Don’t waste the gift of time I have given you.  Spend time with Me.  You will soar above the trivialities of earth.  Your daily duties will become divine treasures of grace, opening the heavens to you.  Nothing will ever be mediocre or mundane again.  Your life will be divine.”

          “To live in silence on a noisy earth is a feat rarely accomplished, even among the most established saints.  Noise is everywhere.  Nature beckons you into the silence, but the noisy and restless world prevails against your serenity.  My chosen souls hide themselves away from the noise and distraction of the world to foster their relationship in silence with the majestic God who reigns in an eternal silence.

          God is above and beyond the noise of mortal man.  He is to be found in the silent realm of eternal thought.  To live in His silence, you must live your life “hidden with Christ in God,” always seeking what brings the most silence into your daily life.

          Turn off all electronic devices.  Sit alone with your heart exposed to the silence, the nothingness you fear.  Man is afraid of the silence.  He doesn’t know what he will find when he is not distracted by the noise of life.

          Saints are formed in the silent pauses of life.  The light of heaven can stream into the heart of a quiet and weaned soul.  Refuse to talk incessantly just to fill space.  Be silent.  Let the pauses feel awkward.  Learn to be comfortable without a constant flow of words.

          The greatest saints measure their words carefully.  They do not spew words out carelessly.  They examine the intent of each word, for truly man will be judged by each word uttered on earth.  A talkative soul will have much trouble in life.  Saintly souls are silent.  Like nature, they exist for God’s glory without the use of words, the invention of man to communicate.

          Only God can grant you the great gift of silence.  Ask and you shall receive.”

          “Listen to Me.  Hear Me speak.  I dwell within you.  I live in a quiet place deep within your soul.  I wait for you to come to Me, but you are so distracted by all that is going on outside the house.  I keep the door wide open, hoping you’ll come back to sit with Me throughout the day.  Occasionally you dash in with a quick question or prayer, but then you rush out again, too busy to sit idly with Me.

          You do not realize that “in quietness and confidence is your strength.”  You are aimlessly wandering the streets of the neighborhood trying to fulfill a desire that only I can deliver.

          At times I call out to you from the house.  You see these calls as tragedies or circumstances that draw you back to My side, but it is only Me, using everything at My disposal to bring you back to communion with Me.  Sometimes when you return, you joyously and fervently continue our conversation, but then you get bored and your eyes start looking at the door.  “What’s out there?” you are thinking.  As you get up to leave, I sadly let you go.  I know that you will be back, disillusioned and wounded, but I must not violate your free will.

          I did something very heroic and very loving 2,000 years ago.  I wanted to capture your love and attention.   I thought My total self-giving would keep you in the house with Me, returning all your love for Love’s sake.  But Love is forgotten.  The sparkling city lights beckon.  The laughter outside the windows calls you.  You are too restless to sit here quietly with Me, to study to learn more about your eternal home, your final destination.

          What a sad day it will be for My straying and wandering children when I take their last breath away.  They will repent and weep for the time wasted on glitter that turned to dust and ashes.  All that will remain is the eternal, the moments sitting at My feet or walking in the garden of life with Me at your side leading, guiding, consoling, friend to friend.

          Those that have stayed by My side will not experience death.  They will tightly clasp My hand and we will walk through death’s door together, without a break in our conversation.  Life will not have ended.  It will continue in a new realm, without sin, a place where righteousness dwells.

          The wanderers will lament on that day, “What have I done?  All was wasted.  All turned to ashes.  How shall I enter a land I know nothing about with a God I do not know?”  Then I will sadly lead them through death’s door as they fearfully and sorrowfully hesitate to grasp the hand of a stranger.  My Holy Scriptures say that on that last fearful day, I will say, “Depart from Me.  I never knew you.”

          “Holy souls are souls filled with my love.  My love permeates everything they do and say.  Their tongue is dipped in the perfume of My love.  They look at all things on earth through My eyes of love.

          When love enters a room, the energy changes.  The earth is enveloped in a deep darkness, a cloudy overshadowing, hiding the celestial light that surrounds the earth.  Love is the light of God reflected through a human channel which illuminates the darkness, leading souls to the light which is vanishing from the earth.

          These souls of light are placed in strategic places throughout the globe.  They light up the corners of the earth, allowing souls to glimpse the celestial passageways that have been blocked by sinful lifestyles.  These souls of light are the instruments I use to open the doors for captive hearts.

          The world lies in the power of the Evil One.  Even though I have triumphed over sin and evil, the warfare continues until the final day of redemption.  The warrior souls of the light-filled ones are carrying on the battle on earth.  They fight in the darkness and obscurity of the physical realm.  Their weapons are spiritual arms.  The obscurity and confusion of the battle confuses and perplexes them, but they fight on, following their leader, Jesus, the King of Light.

          Let the light fill you by spending time in My presence.  I inhabit the praises of My people and the more you get to know Me, the more you will praise Me, the more you will love Me. 

 

          Things are not what they seem, My children.  You are in a war zone.  This is not the time to seek amusements and entertainment.  The battle prize is the eternal souls of men.  Every soul will look into the face of God and give an account for his life on earth.

          “Ephraim turned back in the day of battle …”  Please do not be in the company of Ephraim.  Be strong in My power.  I lead the troops out.  Follow behind Me without fear.  I have already won the victory.  We are just playing out the warfare.”

          “The storm clouds hover in the sky while the thunder rumbles and the lightning makes cracks across the sky.  Nature trembles when it sees My majesty and power in the heavens.

          My storms have become commonplace to man.  He no longer sees or understands the things beyond his grasp.  There is no more awe or reverence for My bounty in nature’s dramas.

          I thunder from the heavens.  I hurl lightning bolts to the earth.  I crash and I warn and I frighten the animals with My power, yet still I am ignored by My selfish children.

          An uneducated and simple man has more reverence and awe than a learned scholar.  Learning has made man proud and arrogant.  He has made formulations and equations for all the majestic occurrences on earth.  He explains nature’s rhythms with his mathematical equations and high-sounding words, yet he knows so very, very little about the power of My omnipotence.

          Like a proud rooster he struts on the stage until his life breath is gone.  His books lie around him while men praise his accomplishments.  Yet he has never looked into the heart of his Creator for the real answers to life.

          Man, in his pride, has rejected His Father-Creator.  Nothing could be sadder on earth!”

          “Streams and streams of graces are falling from heaven upon My little souls on earth that send up their loving words and deeds on earth.  I cannot but pour Myself out on My faithful, loving children.  My heart is drawn out to them, embracing them, loving them, sending glorious gifts and graces to them.  They do not have to earn My love.  Just being a sincere little child draws forth the greatest graces from My storehouse of glorious gifts.

          My peace and My joy inundate them.  My radiance is reflected in their faces.  My fragrance surrounds each of their steps.  My lovingkindness envelops them as a halo of light which makes the paths plain before them.  My love compels Me to drown them in My goodness.  We become united and live as one on earth.

          Don’t you see that I choose the little and the weak to magnify and glorify My Father’s creative love?  I do not look for greatness or grandeur.  I look for simplicity, purity, humility and a docile spirit.  The more childlike you are, the more I condescend to your littleness to inhabit all of you.

          I am “Jesus of the Little Children.”  I am surrounded by My little children of predilection.  They are attending My school of holiness.  The kindergarteners are My most treasured.  They still have that pure gaze of innocence and wonder.  How I love to impress them with My Father’s beauties and glorious deeds!

          Come to Me, My little ones.  Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable and simple with Me.  These are the characteristics of all souls in the kingdom of heaven.  The littler you become, the more I inhabit your being.  Rest in My arms like one of the littlest ones in My kingdom.  I will take care of everything in your life!”

          “Redeem the time because the days are evil.”  The sands in the hourglass are running out.  You cannot hold time in your hand.  It races past you so swiftly.  It does not turn around in its path.  It runs away from you.  It runs ahead of you.  You cannot touch it or hold it back.

          Each soul is allotted a segment of time.  How you live during this space of time will be required of you by your Creator.

          How do you spend your time?  As you look back over the years of your life, was your time well spent?  One day you will have to give an account for the gift of time, how you have lived these few years on earth.

          You have today to make the necessary changes in your life to make sufficient and eternal use of your future sands in time.”

          “The generosity of God is overlooked and seldom praised.  So much on earth is taken for granted by man.  He assumes that all will continue as it has from the dawn of eternity.  His thoughtlessness and ingratitude steal his inheritance reserved in heaven.

          Life is a stage, a play enacted by mankind, a spectacle to angels and the hosts of heaven.  The redemption of humanity by an incomprehensible God is looked at in awe and wonder by myriads of spirits in the eternal world.  That God would come to earth in human flesh is shocking and elusive to their understanding.  They stand in awe of a mystery so great and unspeakable.  They are astonished that man has despised this great gift.  How blinded and dull the hearts of mankind!

          God’s glory is despised and trampled upon, even blasphemed incessantly.  What great patience and condescension God extends to depraved humanity!

          The drama continues unabated through the centuries.  Unknown saints traverse history, few and far between.  The masses march in hordes to eternal doom, despising their own mercy.

          What more can be said that has not been said?

          The day of the Lord is near.  The centuries have come to a close.  The door to salvation is closing quickly.  The Spirit groans in anguish for the souls of men.”

          “The soul of man was created to be an exquisite diamond with facets of extraordinary beauty.  It was created to shine gloriously in the kingdom of heaven eternally.  The soul was created so tenderly, so lovingly, so delicately, handcrafted by an all-wise Creator.  The soul was designed to grow in beauty daily as it imitated the life of the all-holy God, nourished in His love.  The body is only a fleshly covering for this eternal spirit.

          Man has ignored and forgotten his spirit within him.  He lives for the needs and glorification of the body – to look good, to feel good, and to enjoy all he can in his needy body.

          The flesh decays and dies.  It is only a house, a shelter for the soul.  Every day, billions of cells waste away and die.  One day, the life breath will expire and the soul will be exposed without a covering.  The soul will be exposed to his Creator to inspect the fruits that were sown in life.  Will the soul be beautiful and godly or ugly and sin-ridden?

          I inspect the motives and the intentions, the goodwill and the heart cries.  I am a just and merciful Judge.  I long for My children to yearn to be holy.  If they only knew what joy holiness brings …

          There is only a short moment in time to reap an eternity of benefits.  Your life choices follow you into eternity.  I have given you everything you need to make the right choices.  Now it is up to you to do the choosing.

          Which will it be?”

          “The hours pass so swiftly in life.  There is nothing holding back the inevitability of aging and death.  Man strolls through life, the pace quickening with each passing year.  Sickness and suffering become commonplace and friends die around you.  The flowering bloom withers and fades.  Life ebbs away.  Eternity looms.

          This is the way of every soul living on earth.  Not one soul has ever evaded death or the grave.  Everyone will face eternity alone, without the goods heaped up on earth.

          Fame and fortune mean absolutely nothing on your deathbed.  Every gasp for air will be the only thing you care about.  How your values will change in that hour!

          Do you men ever think of this inevitable day reserved for you?  Do you wonder how people will react when they hear you have died?  How will the world around you change when you leave the stage of life?

          If men would sit long enough to ponder the day of their death, they would change the way they live their lives.  Priorities would change, affections would be altered.  It would be a very sobering moment, and very useful to make some very important changes.

          There should be no fear of death if you are living as God wants you to.  This time on earth is a preparation for an eternity with God.  He is making you ready for heaven.  He is raising children on earth, forming them into the mature images of His Son.  This is a beautiful time of restoration and growth.

          Think about your day of death, My children.  This will help you to realize what is most important in life.”

          “What does the world offer you?  All the allure and glamour of the world fades into nothingness.  Time passes, beauty fades, strength wanes, riches grow old – and then you die … and then you face the God who created you for a specific purpose.

          He had a holy design for your life, a mission for you specifically to fulfill.  He stayed at your side all through your life encouraging you to follow His direction, but you didn’t give Him a thought in your hurry to acquire earthly satisfactions.  He brought holy souls to you to help, guide and direct you back to God’s path … you listened for a moment and then turned back to your own path.  Each day brought a new distraction that allowed you to forget your God.

          You started to age.  Certain circumstances brought your mind to think of eternity, such as death and tragedy, but they were quick thoughts that passed through your mind as a ship in the night.

          Then your day arrived, the fateful day that takes every soul by surprise.  You couldn’t rise from your bed, your diagnosis was terminal, your death was imminent.  How different life looks to your eyes then!  How fast your life went by!  Who will now take all these treasures you’ve amassed?  Who will sleep in your bed or drive your car?  What will your obituary say?  Who will attend your funeral?  What will you say to God when you see Him?  You will then say:  Does my life’s work have a lasting value?  God is not interested in anything material, so what do I have to offer Him?

          In that day of sacred orderings, life will appear so drastically different to you.  You will see all the wasted efforts, wasted moments, wasted relationships, and wasted memories in the light of eternal goods.

          What will you offer your God on that final day of earth?  Meditate on this, because this day truly is coming and you need to be prepared.”

Guide of Life

          “The gentleness of God would astound the harsh world.  God creates kittens; man creates bombs to kill and destroy.  God creates the gentle winds, the delicate snowflakes, the majestic snowcaps; man creates filthy movies, weapons to hurt the glorious body that God has created so lovingly.

          God whispers softly in the soul with gentle and persuasive words of love; man hurls insults and blasphemies back to God.  God gives precious gifts and graces unceasingly upon the most hardened and arrogant souls; man hoards his material acquisitions and greedily steals from the poor and needy.

          God forgives a repentant soul; man refuses to forgive the least offense.  God offers His helping hand to man in every circumstance of life; man turns away quickly, acting as though he has no eyes to see.  God offers man tranquility, serenity, and peace; man prefers noise, agitation and ambitious undertakings that forget the soul within.

          God is so patient with man, waiting for man to see the error of his ways; there is no second chance with man.  Once he is offended, he refuses to forgive to restore the relationship.

          God is beauty; man prefers to destroy his body by unhealthy lifestyles and marks of evil printed on his skin.  God is pure love; man chooses hatred and scorn.

          God’s ways are so much higher than man’s ways.  He longs to change the heart of man into His heart of pure love.  The heart is than supernaturalized and divinized and the man then exhibits God’s virtues and gracious nature.

          O man, change your selfish heart into God’s beautiful, loving heart.  You have the opportunity for such a great exchange.

          God is the fountain of life.  Come to His fountain to drink and you will be changed.”

          “When you are peaceful and resting in me, My voice becomes very clear and luminous in your spirit.  I reside in your inner being, waiting for you to meet Me there.

          Don’t be in a hurry when you seek My presence.  I am the eternally calm presence within you, desiring to crown you with My peace.

          The world is in turmoil.  Constant rushing, hurrying at a maddening pace.  Everything is rushed – words, conversations, eating, driving, thoughts.  There is no peace, only a constant striving for the next activity to obliterate the present moment.  The rush to accumulate possessions, the rush to arrive at a destination – all contribute to disturbance in the soul.

          You must prioritize your life with My wisdom.  Some things need to disappear from your life in order for you to have more time to slow down.

          The quiet moments of restful peacefulness are the foundation moments of your spirituality.  Without these gaps in your mad rush to get things done, your life with Me becomes sterile, empty and purely external.  You are hovering on the fringes of My perfect will for you.

          Every person is allotted a certain number of hours in the day.  How they use them is the freedom of the will, the gift of choice.  Wise souls sit down and count the cost.  They do not drive the engine in full gear without considering the end destination. 

          Get rid of the things that destroy your peace – television, idle conversations, useless reading, time wasters, distractions … then you will certainly have the time to sit down with Me to clean your soul, to discover My purposes for your life, to renew our friendship.

          Do not tell Me that you do not have time for Me.  You do have time.  You just waste it on things of absolutely no eternal significance.  These fleeting sands of time are gifts to help you attain eternal treasures. 

          Don’t waste the gift of time I have given you.  Spend time with Me.  You will soar above the trivialities of earth.  Your daily duties will become divine treasures of grace, opening the heavens to you.  Nothing will ever be mediocre or mundane again.  Your life will be divine.”
